The Zaros Plus are a 2mm thicker version of the regular Zaros. The Plus version is meant for the toughest terrain where extra thickness is welcome - think scree slopes, talus fields and lava plains - and for steep technical running where high landing forces can occur. Like the regular Zaros the Plus version feature two-sided traction; The footbed has a knob pattern to provide grip when your feet are wet, and to allow water to be expelled from underneath your feet, like the profile of a tire. Zaros in old Greek means a place with a lot of water. 
Product Specifications

Footbed - 3mm grip top profiled footbed which will become more soft as you break them in – your feet will probably need to get used to it at first.
Sole - 8mm Vibram TANK Newflex rubber sole with 2,5mm multi-directional tread pattern. It may seem like a little extra thickness, 2mm, but the sole in effect is 33% thicker and the ground feel is significantly less compared to the regular Zaros.
Total thickness - 11 mm
3-in-1 strap system - One continuous nylon strap is fixed to the sole with a full metal plug. A single sliding buckle gives you three options for wearing. They're shipped as pictured in what we call the diagonal-fixed set-up. This is the most all-round set-up that we've chosen as the standard set-up for our sandals.
