Onyx is the ancient Greek word for eagle claws. Onyx is also a gemstone. Red onyx was used in shields, swords and armour to strengthen and protect warriors on the battlefield.

This compact, lightweight (7 gram) and smooth carabiner will hold your keys, a reusable water bottle or other low-load gear. It is also ideal for carrying your sandals when you don’t need them. As we like to say:

 “barefoot when you can, sandals when you must”.

The ONYX, as we called them, is basically a piece of solidified sandal making. They are made for 100% from our plastic left-overs - from the red caps and handles on the cans that hold our shoemaker-glue. Dutch upcycling collective Meltup makes them for us. Meltup washes, shreds, melts and moulds our plastic (adding a hint of black) into unique carabiners.

HERGESTELLT IN DER EU

Alle Materialien stammen aus Europa, z. B. Vibram-Gummi aus Italien und Nylonriemen aus Deutschland. Die Sandalen werden komplett in den Niederlanden gefertigt.
